The extra virgin olive oil of Cabaces has an excellent quality, and throughout its production process has been worked in a professional and through way . In the countryside, farmers have the technical support of experts of the " Institud de recerca en tecniques alimentaries, IRTA " and the " Associacio de defensa vegetal, ADV". Good practices are currently used for olives trees cultivation. The techniques for ploughing and moving are respectful for the environment and also, thanks to the land climatology the chemical products are not frequently used .
After harvesting, the olive transport to the mill is so carefully made that the fruit comes whiting the best possible conditions. Finally, the whole process of oil extraction do not last anymore than 24 hours, getting a top quality product that is made available to the client.
The cooperative is also partner of te "Denominacion de origen protegida de Ciurana ", body working to control, assure and certify the quality of their oils. Working in this way and whit the efforts made by all members of the cooperative the extra virgin olive oil of Cabaces has received awards in major national and international competitions.
